Mobile Drop-In Center Benefitting Runaway and Homeless Youth in Allentown
ALLENTOWN, PA (5/12/16) – The Synergy Project, Valley Youth House’s street outreach program, has released the summer schedule of their mobile drop-in center. The Synergy Project’s RV unit will be stationed around Allentown to provide services to youth in need.
The Synergy Project is a Valley Youth House program designed to help runaway, homeless, nomadic and street youth, age 21 and under, in Allentown, Bucks County, and Philadelphia. The program offers survival supplies, peer support, informal counseling, referral services and assistance to youth in these areas.
Homeless and runaway youth tend to settle in places that are not easily accessible, which is why the program is focused on meeting the youth where they are at; on the streets and in the woods. Because of this, the RV will serve as a mobile drop-in center for youth to receive a hot meal, find relief from the outdoors, and receive services and information about VYH programming.
The Synergy Project RV is generously funded by The Trexler Trust, who granted both startup funding and continued financial support.
The RV is an additional form of service for The Synergy Project. Street outreach coordinators will continue to visit freight train yards, transportation stations, tent-cities and homeless camps to offer assistance. Be sure to keep an eye out around Allentown for The Synergy Project RV!
Effective immediately, the schedule for the mobile drop-in unit is as follows:

144 N 9th St, Allentown, PA 181024 pm – 7 pm Thursdays
