The promotions bolster the finance department’s ability to serve clients following the nonprofit’s recent organizational growth and evolving needs.
BETHLEHEM, Pa. (September 17, 2024)- New Bethany, a local nonprofit that provides nutritious food access, housing, and social services, announced the promotions of Jenny Ramos to representative payee coordinator and Brenda Ramos to representative payee assistant. As part of the nonprofit’s finance department, they report to the finance director. Motivated by a passion for helping others, New Bethany’s finance department works hard to manage overhead, direct all federal grants, build and maintain donor relationships, and more.
“The promotions of Jenny and Brenda reflect not only the individual achievements of our team members but also the significant growth and evolving needs of our organization,” said New Bethany’s Finance Director Tina Sargent. “As New Bethany continues to expand its impact and reach, the finance department has similarly grown to meet the demands of our expanding programs, underscoring our commitment to fostering internal talent and ensuring robust financial stewardship.”
In her new role, Jenny Ramos provides financial case management to clients receiving representative payee services at New Bethany. She helps clients of New Bethany use their benefits strategically to cover current and future expenses while advising them on how to properly save unused benefits to get them back on their feet. Jenny Ramos started as an office manager at New Bethany in 2021, then was promoted to case manager in 2023.
As representative payee assistant, Brenda Ramos supports the coordinator by providing case management to clients receiving services at New Bethany. Brenda Ramos began as a housing advocate at New Bethany in 2022. She was then promoted to residential advisor in 2023. She earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from West Chester University in 2019.
