SHANTHI PROJECT HOSTS FIRST-EVER ART AUCTION FUNDRAISER TO BENEFIT MINDFULNESS PROGRAMMING

Lehigh Valley, PA — September 12, 2024 — Shanthi Project, a mindfulness education nonprofit based in the Lehigh Valley, will host its next fundraising event on September 26th at Llantrisant Retreat and Wellness Center. The event – Easely Yours – is an art auction that will give supporters the opportunity to bid on local art while supporting Shanthi Project’s mission.

This event celebrates the connection between art and mindfulness – where art offers a creative outlet for emotional expression, and mindfulness helps increase focus needed for creative endeavors.

In preparation for Easely Yours, Shanthi Project has been working with local artists to secure original artwork for the auction, many of whom practice mindfulness in their own art-making.

“I am a practitioner of ‘Mindfulness’ and being responsible for my own consciousness about the world I live in. I believe humanity and the world as a whole benefits when we are engaged in understanding our emotional inheritance and lived experience and make attempts to develop our true selves,” said award-winning Easton-based artist, Curlee Raven Holton. “Art is the language of dreaming out loud. Art is an answer to our struggle for a deeper understanding of reality and an act of personal and communal liberation.”

Additional artists featured include Lauren Kindle, Kim Hogan, Matthew Nixon, Elizabeth Snelling, Kelly Forte, Maciek Albrecht, Elli Albrecht, and more.

Easely Yours will be held at Llantrisant Retreat and Wellness Center in Tatamy, PA from 6:00 to 8:30pm, with a special VIP champagne toast at 5:30pm. The event is open to the public and tickets can be purchased at www.shanthiproject.org/easelyyours.
