NEW! The Steel Yard Comes to Life on September 13th
ALLENTOWN, PA (September 5, 2024) – Dorney Park is thrilled to announce the transformation of its Steel Yard themed area into its newest scare zone, STEEL YARD: FORGE YOUR FeAR. This spine-chilling addition will delve into the dark backstory of the Iron Menace roller coaster, offering guests an unforgettable and terrifying experience.
THE STORY
After nearly a century of being boarded up, the gates to the infamous McTavish Steel Yard have finally swung open, granting brave souls passage through the remnants of what some believe to be an “evil place filled with torment and agony.” Will the spirits allow visitors to pass unscathed?

In addition to the hair-raising STEEL YARD: FORGE YOUR FeAR, Dorney Park is gearing up for another spine-tingling Halloween Haunt, set to return on Friday, September 13. This year, the sinister transformation promises dynamic changes that will turn the theme park into a scream park, brimming with unspeakable horrors and unforgettable thrills.
Halloween Haunt will feature night rides on the all-new Iron Menace roller coaster, seven haunted mazes, each with its own chilling theme, and six scare zones that will completely immerse guests in a world of ghoulish monsters and rampant scares.
The frightful fun of Halloween Haunt will take place on Friday and Saturday nights from September 13 to October 27. Additionally, Dorney Park will bring back the popular HAUNT Sundays on October 6, 13, 20, and 27.
Guests who purchase a 2025 Gold Pass now will enjoy unlimited visits to Halloween Haunt in 2024.
Please note that Halloween Haunt is not recommended for children under 13. However, most park rides and attractions will be in operation. Guests are kindly reminded that attending HAUNT in costume is not permitted.
