Emmaus Farmers’ Market Announces 2016 Spring Opening Day
April 3, 2016 is first day of the weekly market until December 2016
March 28, 2016 (Emmaus, PA) The Emmaus Farmers’ Market announced today that Opening Day for the Market’s 2016 weekly season will be April 3, 2016. The Market will be open from 10 AM to 2 PM and is sponsored by National Penn Bank. The Market is held at 235 Chestnut Street, Emmaus, PA.
The Emmaus Farmers’ Market or “The Market” as it is known throughout the Lehigh Valley, will open its 14th year on April 3, 2016. The Market will feature over 25 vendors that include seasonal produce, meats, breads and flowers each week. The Market will be open every Sunday through December (except for Easter and Christmas) from 10 am to 2 pm. The Market is located at 235 Chestnut Street, Emmaus, PA 18049.
Opening Day will feature face painting, music by the Emmaus Public Singing Society and special guest House of Metalworks, an Emmaus based business that makes handmade, eco-friendly jewelry. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held in partnership with Emmaus Main Street Partners at 10 AM and include members of the Emmaus Farmers’ Market Board of Directors as well as representatives from the Market’s sponsor, National Penn Bank. In addition, gift bags will be given to the first 200 to register online at www.emmausmarket.com and it includes a special gift from House of Metalworks. Friends of the 1803 House, a step back in time that preserves the architecture of the Moravian culture of Colonial Pennsylvania and illustrates the lifestyle of Colonial America, will be hosting a community table. Members of the 7th grade class from Seven Generations Charter School will be volunteering throughout the day as well as selling birdhouses and feeders to increase biodiversity of wildlife in the local community and raise money for their field trip fund.
