Phillipsburg, NJ – December 27, 2023 – The shorter days and colder weather of wintertime are made

brighter at the winter edition of the Phillipsburg Farmers’ Market, where customers can continue to buy their favorite fresh and local foods while supporting community vendors.

Located inside 163-165 S. Main Street, customers can stay warm while they shop or relax at tables with seating as they sample their purchases and enjoy conversation with friends. There’s also a children’s area with games and activities, plus a monthly story time by the Phillipsburg Free Public Library.

The Winter Market began the season with seven vendors, and has since grown to 14 full-time and two part-time vendors. The market returns from its holiday break on Sunday, January 7. Weekly hours are Sundays from 10 am – 1 pm, taking place “snow or shine.” Parking is available at metered spaces on the street, in nearby lots with payment kiosks, and across from Joe’s Steak Shop (free).

A fast-growing market, The Phillipsburg Farmers’ Market began in 2022 as an open-air market with seven vendors, which grew to 16 over the course of the season. It featured fun themed days and

events, like the SpudSprint 3000, Touch-A-Truck, Fall Festival, Sidewalk Sales, Sweet Corn & Sunflower Day, Pet Photos with Santa, and more.

In May the market will move back to Shappell Park from 10 am – 2 pm with more special events and themed days planned.
