(Allentown, PA, December 2023): GOLD Credit Union is pleased to partner with the Allentown Chapter of Toys for Tots to help brighten the holidays for local kids in the Lehigh Valley. From now until December 15, both GOLD Credit Union locations will serve as drop-off sites for toy donations, providing an opportunity for members, volunteers, and staff to contribute to the joy of the local children this holiday season.

“Eight years ago, at my previous workplace, I filled out a form for the company to become a Toys for Tots drop site for the first time. After I made my move to GOLD four years ago, I spearheaded starting the tradition here, and was blown away by the response from staff and members—a clear demonstration of our shared heart for the community we live and work in,” said Laura Leinbach, VP of Communications at GOLD.

“This season marks nine years that I’ve been involved as a drop site coordinator with Toys for Tots, and I felt the same joy picking up collection boxes and posters last month as I did at the beginning. It’s the start of the holiday season for me, and I love that it begins in a way that reflects the true holiday spirit of kindness and generosity.”

Toys for Tots aims to collect new, unwrapped toys like puzzles, games, art supplies, etc. and distribute them to children in need, spreading holiday cheer and fostering a sense of community support. GOLD is proud to align with this worthy cause and invites the community to join in making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.

The Allentown Chapter of Toys for Tots, led by Coordinator SSgt. Christopher Olson and affiliated with the United States Marine Corps Reserve, is a not-for-profit public charity dedicated to bringing joy to children in the Lehigh Valley during the holiday season.
