Time to Get in the Holiday Spirit- The Phillipsburg Annual Tree Lighting is BACK!

Phillipsburg, NJ – Get ready for a festive evening filled with holiday magic as the Phillipsburg Area Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Phillipsburg announce the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Shappell Park. The event, featuring the beloved characters Santa Claus, Frosty, Elsa, and Olaf, is scheduled to take place on Monday, November 27 from 6-9pm.

The Phillipsburg Tree Lighting Ceremony has become a cherished tradition, bringing over 400 children and their families together to kick off the holiday season. Attendees can expect a joyous atmosphere with the lighting of the majestic tree, live entertainment, and special appearances by Santa Claus and his friends. In line with the theme of ‘gifting’ this holiday season, each child in attendance will have the opportunity to receive a new toy, a holiday bag of treats, a warm hat, and a pair of gloves. Attendees will be treated to complimentary hot chocolate, cookies, crafts, facepainting by Masking Faces, a winter coat drive, and more while supplies last. This year’s event will feature a sing-along performance from Phillipsburg Elementary School Singers as well as a reading from River of Life Church.

“We are thrilled to continue the tradition of the Phillipsburg Tree Lighting Ceremony,” said Phillipsburg Mayor, Todd Tersigni. “This event holds a special place in the hearts of our community, and we invite everyone to join us at Shappell Park on November 27 at 6pm as we officially light the tree for 2023!”
