Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley is offering LEAD Now; a 5-part leadership training program that provides relevant guidance on nonprofit board service. Assist with literacy activities in a kindergarten or first grade classroom in the Allentown School District one hour per week or more. Clearances and attendance at an orientation session are required. Our next orientation session is scheduled from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11 at Hays Elementary School, Allentown. St. Luke’s D&L “RaceFest” is bringing a full marathon back to the Lehigh Valley! We’re also hosting a marathon relay, half marathon run, and half marathon walk all on the same day. K9 Kop Project is looking for an Experienced Event Coordinator who will plan, recruit, and manage a group of volunteers/supporters who will run a community day in 2024. The Whitehall Historical Preservation Society needs assistance with fall clean up on Sunday, October 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Inside needs include dusting, cleaning, painting, organizing.
