This workshop will be presented by the Lehigh and Northampton County Master Gardeners and is designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the identification and preservation of plant and flower samples through the creation of herbarium mounts. This workshop is an excellent opportunity to learn about the various techniques and methods that are used to create herbarium mounts and to gain a deeper appreciation for the importance of preserving plant and flower specimens for future generations.
Participants will discover the wonderful world of plant and flower identification, learn the art of pressing and preserving, and create their very own herbarium mount projects.
Registrants will be provided information on collecting and preserving samples that can be brought to the workshop for identification and mounting. Early registration is recommended while there are still suitable samples to collect. Samples will be provided for those unable to bring their own.
This workshop will be held on Saturday October 28, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Location will be Penn State Extension Lehigh County at 4184 Dorney Park Rd., Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Registration cost will be $20.00, it is required and must be completed by 11:59 p.m. on October 25.
