BYO lunch & enjoy a monthly selection of curated faculty performances in the art deco ambiance of the Dorothy H. Baker Recital Hall at CMS.

This month’s featured faculty member is Griffin Woodard, bass clarinet, performing with bandmate Hugh Kline, drums. Griffin and Hugh met as students in the Oberlin Conservatory Jazz Studies Department, from which they both graduated in 2020. They have since recorded three albums together with the Griffin Woodard Quartet and performed coast to coast. However, aside from playing with the full band, their favorite pastime is playing duo – inspired by records like John Coltrane’s Interstellar Space, featuring duets with drummer Rashied Ali. They will perform duet renditions of famous jazz standards and original music.

Reservations requested, but walk-ins are welcome.
