Three local organizations to present the Lehigh Valley’s largest women’s event this June.
Bethlehem, PA (April 26, 2023) – The Lehigh Valley’s most powerful women’s event, the Lehigh Valley Women’s Summit (LVWS), is returning bigger and better than ever on June 8, 2023 at a new venue, Wind Creek Event Center. The Women’s Business Council of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber, United Way of Greater Lehigh Valley, and Cedar Crest College are collaborating to present a day full of empowerment, leadership, networking, and community with impressive keynote speakers and engaging breakout sessions.
LVWS’s general session will feature two keynote speakers. The afternoon keynote slot will feature Ally Love, founder & CEO of Love Squad, global Peloton instructor, host of the Netflix hit Dance 100, and in-arena host of the Brooklyn Nets. Ally is committed to leveraging her platforms in an effort to celebrate and champion diversity through sweat and conversation. She has a reach to millions across her social and professional mediums, and she remains dedicated to forming authentic connections, honest dialogue, and real change. She aims to help those around her position themselves to step into their power.
The morning keynote session belongs to Stephanie Bryan, CEO and tribal chair of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, the tribe that owns and operates Wind Creek Bethlehem. She is the tribe’s first-ever woman elected to serve in this role. Since the beginning of her tenure, the tribe’s economy has grown by 1000%. She is recognized nationally as a passionate advocate for Indian Country and attributes her success to her deep and abiding love for her people.
More than 600 women business leaders will convene from 7:45 AM-3:30 PM to hear from keynote speakers, network, and attend engaging breakout sessions. The six breakout topics are wide-ranging and address issues and questions facing the modern businesswoman. Themes include mental health, pay transparency, diversity and inclusion, public speaking, and building influence.
“We’re so excited to break down even more barriers with this year’s Lehigh Valley Women’s Summit,” says Danielle Joseph, executive vice president of diversity councils at Lehigh Valley Chamber.“ Our new venue, the Wind Creek Event Center, means we can invite more women than ever before to meet and learn from one another, and Stephanie Bryan and Ally Love will further elevate the day. It’s shaping up to be an incredible day, and we cannot wait to welcome all of our attendees on June 8.”
The event will be moderated by emcees Katarah Jordan and Elizabeth Ortiz for the second consecutive year. Jordan is the director of the James Lawson Freedom School and dedicates much of her time to building a healthy, enriching community. Ortiz owns Cactus Blue Mexican Restaurant and is a professor of media and communication.
The teams at Women’s Business Council, UWGLV, and Cedar Crest College are looking forward to the most impressive LVWS yet. The event is made possible by presenting sponsor Lehigh Valley Health Network; platinum sponsor Capital Blue Cross; gold sponsors PNC Bank, Social T Marketing & PR, Victaulic, Wind Creek Bethlehem; and silver sponsors Countess Communications, East Penn Manufacturing Co., EBC Printing, iHeart Media, Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, Members 1st Federal Credit Union, Sarott Design, and Women United of UWGLV.
