GALWAY, IRELAND – Ireland’s brightest acoustic band We Banjo 3 (WB3) will perform at ArtQuest’s MusicFest Cafe, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem, PA, on Sunday, January 16 at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. This event is open to patrons of all ages. 2022 marks We Banjo 3’s 10th year making music together, and the band’s “Awakening Tour” launches an anniversary year ahead––of special tours and performances, new music releases, and more––to mark the milestone. For WB3’s “Awakening Tour,” the band and its community will reflect on what’s been, celebrate what’s ahead, and honor life’s always evolving and ever-renewing rhythms.
Prior to the band’s spring tour, WB3 completed a successful 2 week tour of the U.S. in December of 2021–their first in 21 months–in support of their first ever holiday album, A Winter Wonderful. The 8-track album received strong support. As Country Standard Time reviewed, “[WB3’s A Winter Wonderful] album is like the difference between a bike and the latest gizmo, as gifts for Christmas. While the newest electrical do-dads may be cool for a season, bikes will please and satisfy recipients – probably forever. Similarly…the collection succeeds without applying a bunch of special effects. Instead, acoustic instruments, skilled playing and especially creative arranging should make this release a pleasant listening experience for many years to come.”
