The way Milestone Health Direct works is simple: Consumers choose the lab tests they want and pay for them directly on the Milestone Health Direct website. Consumers will immediately receive a lab requisition in their email which they can take as a print copy or on their smart phone to any Health Network Laboratories’ patient service center, where they will have their sample collected.
When the test results are ready — within 24 hours for most common tests — consumers receive an email notification to log on to a secure portion of the Milestone Health Direct website and view their results. Payment for these tests is the consumer’s responsibility and these self-requested tests are generally not reimbursed by insurance plans.
