LEHIGH VALLEY (July 9, 2021) – This August, local historical sites are partnering to host Lehigh Valley Passport to History Month. The month is a celebration of local history, stories, and the community that bring Lehigh Valley history to life. Each weekend in August, different participating locations will open their doors to the public with tours, activities, and programs for visitors of all ages.
Adapted from last year’s Passport to History Weekend, the month-long celebration allows history buffs and local residents to reach more of the area’s historic sites.
“We are proud to share that due to demand, our event is now an entire month: August 2021,” said Megan van Ravenswaay, Executive Director of the Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society. “We know everyone is eager to get out and explore our local cultural sites and museums. Each weekend a different Passport partners site will offer tours, activities, and behind the scenes opportunities for families and individuals. Our forty partners are eager to safely welcome visitors to enjoy the art, history, and culture in our community together while supporting our area museums.”
