BETHLEHEM, PA (May 20, 2021) – The Foundation for the Bethlehem Area School District partnered with the Bethlehem Area School District to increase its focus on engaging alumni, staff, retirees, parents and community partners by launching BASD Nation, a new digital community. On Monday, May 24th, BASD Nation website will be officially launched to the community.

BASD Nation is a community networking online platform bringing alumni, parents, staff, students and community partners together, helping them reconnect, reminisce and celebrate their stories – all while supporting the next generation of students. Through BASD Nation, the Bethlehem Area School District community has access to the alumni and community directory, view Built by Bethlehem spotlights and access memorable photos of the district’s rich history.

“Built by Bethlehem recognizes that the community builds our students while our alumni go on to build our Bethlehem community. BASD Nation complements the district’s robust social media presence by creating networking opportunities for alumni and community supporters. BASD’s rich history and traditions are cherished by alumni. BASD Nation will strengthen connections to those traditions while also building support for today’s students,” said Superintendent Dr. Joseph Roy.

Graduates of the Bethlehem Area School District, along with staff, retirees, parents and community partners, may join BASD Nation, at no cost, to receive regular updates and access to the directory. They may also submit recommendations for alumni, parent, staff, retiree and student Built by Bethlehem spotlights.

“With almost 100 years of history and over 73,000 alumni, there is a great sense of pride for the Bethlehem Area School District among community members,” said Julie Bailey, Executive Director for The Foundation for the Bethlehem Area School District. “BASD Nation provides a forum for community members to come together celebrating the successes over the years.”
