CATHOLIC CHARITIES DIOCESE OF ALLENTOWN – A Volunteer Ombudsman is a community neighbor specially trained to find answers and resolve simple problems older adults experience in the long-term care system. Catholic Charities is looking for volunteers who enjoy visiting with others and have 3-4 hours a month available. LEHIGH VALLEY ZOO, Schnecksville is looking for volunteers to help make our annual Winter Lights Spectacular event more fun starting November 13th and running to January 2nd. Shifts 5:30PM-10PM for Wednesday and Thursday, and 4:30-10PM for Friday through Sunday. Volunteers will assist with our concession stands, crafts booth, activities booths, attending fire pits, photo booth station, and more. Minimum age:13. MEALS ON WHEELS OF THE GREATER LEHIGH VALLEY needs individuals to grocery shop for seniors who are unable to go to the store due to disability or concerns of COVID-19. Shoppers receive a grocery list and assigned grocery store and purchase the items on the list. Then, the individuals drop the groceries off at the client’s home. At times, the client may need assistance putting the groceries in cabinets, refrigerator, etc. Facemasks, gloves, hand sanitizer and other supplies to keep you and the client safe from infection provided.
