GOOD SHEPHERD REHABILITATION NETWORK is spearheading a social media effort – dubbed #PicturesForPatients – that encourages kids and adults to draw, color or paint pictures for Good Shepherd’s adult and pediatric patients and long-term care residents in Allentown and Bethlehem. The goal is to increase positivity and uplift others in this time of uncertainty – plus, give an added boost to the doctors, nurses, therapists and other health-care professionals as they walk through the halls or into rooms. LEHIGH VALLEY HEALTH NETWORK is calling all artists, young & old, to help cheer up hospitalize patients who are not permitted visitors by creating (nondenominational) inspirational get-well cards and letters. SHARECARE FAITH IN ACTION, Bethlehem needs volunteers to help with taking people to their vital appointments starting in May. All volunteers will have to attend on-line orientation, provide criminal background check, and provide proof of insurance. Cloth masks & hand sanitizer provided to volunteers. SIXTH STREET SHELTER, Allentown hasbeen at full capacity with all our families staying in since mid-March. Many of them have experienced their well-earned progress put on hold with no end in sight. The families could use a lift in spirits! Help us let them know they’re not alone by writing an inspiring message to a homeless family.
