JOANN NENOW RETIRES;
ACHIEVES DRAMATIC AGENCY GROWTH
Victoria A. Coyle, Esq. Named Executive Director,
Meals on Wheels of Northampton County
(BETHLEHEM) JoAnn Nenow has retired as executive director of Meals on Wheels of Northampton County after dramatically increasing the number of clients served and expanding services throughout the Lehigh Valley. Victoria A. Coyle, Esq. has been named executive director. Coyle, the former executive director of North Penn Legal Services, brings outstanding leadership skills, deep experience building partnerships and a strong commitment to the Lehigh Valley.
“We are grateful to JoAnn for her strategic leadership as our organization expanded to serve more people and provide additional services,” commented Thomas Foote, Jr., president of the board of directors, Meals on Wheels of Northampton County. “JoAnn’s dedication to our mission has ensured that people in need always receive a meal. We welcome Victoria Coyle as our new executive director and look forward to continued success under her leadership.”
Nenow joined Meals on Wheels of Northampton County in 2006. Under Nenow’s leadership, the agency became first in the state, and third in the country, to achieve Exemplary Status Magnet Accreditation by Meals on Wheels of America. In 2016, the agency earned the Best Practice in Nutrition for Older Pennsylvanians, Home Delivered Meal Award from the PA Department of Aging. Nenow was instrumental in organizing and starting the Meals on Wheels Association of Pennsylvania in 2011, where she served as founding president for four years.
Previously, Nenow led the building and endowment campaign for ProJeCt of Easton, and served as development director of Lehigh Valley Child Care (now Lehigh Valley Children’s Centers) for 10 years. She began her fundraising career in 1994 as director of development for Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network. She also was the director of recreation for LARC (now VIA). Nenow holds a Bachelor of Science degree in therapeutic recreation/recreation therapy from Slippery Rock University.

Coyle has served as executive director of North Penn Legal Services since 2003, responsible for the coordinated delivery of quality legal services to clients in 20 counties in northeast Pennsylvania. She successfully completed the fiscal, personnel and services merger of four independent legal aid service providers covering that area. North Penn Legal Services serves more than 22,000 individuals annually. Previously, Coyle was executive director of Turning Point of Lehigh Valley, Inc. She also was assistant solicitor, City of Bethlehem; associate attorney, Shay, Santee & Kelhart; assistant district attorney, Northampton County; and clerk for the Honorable Alfred T. Williams, Jr., president judge, Court of Common Pleas, Northampton County, PA.
Meals on Wheels of Northampton County promotes healthy living through the delivery of nutrition services. It provides approximately 557,000 nutritious meals annually to the elderly, disabled and patients discharged from hospitals and rehabilitation centers, as well as to healthy active adults, child care centers and day care centers.
