SCHNECKSVILLE, PA (April 19, 2018) – KidsPeace President and Chief Executive Officer William R. Isemann has announced that he will retire in 2019, and the search for his successor is underway. The announcement came in a letter to KidsPeace associates distributed Monday (4/16/2018).
Mr. Isemann joined the organization as executive vice president and treasurer in 2006, and was named President and CEO in 2008.
In making his announcement, Mr. Isemann thanked the organization’s workforce and leadership for their hard work over his time at KidsPeace. “Over the past twelve years, we’ve treated individuals from nearly every state in our hospital and residential treatment facilities. We also have expanded our foster care, community programs and education offerings as the needs of children have changed. I am proud of you and our entire organization,” he said.
KidsPeace Board of Directors Chairman Dr. Larry Bell responded to the announcement by saying, “Both personally and on behalf of our Board, I would like to thank Will for his dedication, support and leadership he’s provided to KidsPeace throughout his time with the organization. His guidance and wisdom has helped ensure that KidsPeace will be able to continue its mission and the important work that we have done for more than 135 years.”
Dr. Bell added that the KidsPeace board is beginning the search for a new president and CEO immediately. Mr. Isemann pledged to work with the board and his successor to ensure a smooth transition, at the same time telling KidsPeace’s associates that the change in leadership should not affect the organization’s ability to deliver services to its clients.
“I firmly believe that a leadership change in no way can have the same impact as that of your continued dedication and commitment to our kids. I encourage you to keep up this good and important work over this year and beyond,” he said.
Mr. Isemann earned a master’s degree in health administration from Duke University. In a career spanning forty years he has held various positions of leadership at several hospital and healthcare systems, including Humana and American Medical International, as well as at several non-profit organizations. He is a fellow of both the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
