ALLENTOWN, PA — Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center today announced the four honorees of their 2018 LGBT Community Leadership Awards, which will be given at the organization’s Fall Gala on October 24th at the Centennial Event Center at Homewood Suites in Center Valley.
The 2018 LGBT Community Leadership Awards will honor:
Air Products: Air Products is recognized for its philanthropic leadership in support of LGBT community vibrancy, safety, and sustainability. Through support of numerous LGBT organizations in the community, and through matching donations to LGBT organizations made by their employees, Air Products is a leader in championing inclusion in the Lehigh Valley as part ofits commitment to attract and retain top talent to the area.
Aidan DeStefano: Aidan is recognized for his courageous intervention in Doe V. Boyertown Area School District, in which a group of anti LGBT parents sued to overturn the district’s trans-inclusive policy. Aidan intervened in the case, allowing the voices of transgender students to be heard in court.
Mary Foltz: Mary is recognized for her support of library programs at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center and the development of the center’s intergenerational community book discussion program, which she facilitates.
Robert & Montana Jackson: Robert & Montana are recognized for their incredible volunteer leadership which includes weekly cleaning services at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center, hosting fundraisers to support the center’s programs, and preparing holiday meals to support LGBT youth at Project SILK Lehigh Valley.
