Cole Swindell is well known for his songwriting ability, lending his lyrics to some of country music biggest stars. Thursday night was his turn to shine. His Lehigh Valley fans got to be a part of something special, the opening night of his first ever tour as the headliner. Cole’s performance was backed by his chart-topping songs and plenty of heart. Concert-goers could hear the genuine passion Swindell poured into this special night. Capping off the night was a special moment between Cole and his fans, as he performed “You Should Be Here” and the crowd sang along.
The evening’s performance started off with Lauren Alaina. The singer, songwriter, actress and former American Idol contestant played a set as diverse as resume covering songs from country to rock and back again. She closed her set with her very own chart-topper “Road Less Traveled.” Alaina got the crowd fired up and ready for act number two which was Chris Janson. Chris provided the crowd with an electric high-spirited 40-minute set. Beyond his commanding stage presence, he fired up the crowd with hits like “Redneck Life,” “Everybody,”and “Buy Me a Boat.”.
It was one exciting night of country music at the PPL Center.
