(Lehigh Valley, PA) – WDIY 88.1 FM presents a concert in partnership with Lehigh Valley singer/songwriters Alex Radus and George Hrab – seasonally known as The Christmas Sweaters. The one-night performance of “Holiday Extravaganza and Album Release Concert” will be held December 19, 2024 at The Ice House in Bethlehem. Guests are invited to ring in the Season with a hilarious set of “New Carols No One Asked For.”
In late ‘23, Alex and George furiously wrote a series of delightfully awful, so-bad-they’re-good holiday tunes. Full of merriment and cheer, they recorded a LIVE album at Godfrey Daniels. The Ice House concert will celebrate the release of “The Christmas Sweaters Live in Bethlehem!”
The Sweaters will perform their soon-to-be holiday classics including Smells Like Christmas, Eggnog with Werner Herzog, and We Get the Entrails (for Christmas).
Guests are encouraged to wear their most outrageous holiday sweaters. While the songs performed by the Christmas Sweaters are all incredibly fun and goofy- recommended audience is 13 and up.
Tickets and more information are available at thechristmassweaters.com.
The concert is presented as a kick-off to WDIY’s 30th Anniversary which officially begins on January 8, 2025. Other anniversary events and programming are planned throughout 2025.
