BETHLEHEM, PA—Two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Graham Nash of Crosby, Stills & Nash; Al Di Meola; the David Bromberg Quintet with Betty LaVette; and The Smithereens with Marshall Crenshaw are coming to the Musikfest Café presented by Yuengling, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem. Tickets for the performances go on sale Tues., March 26, to ArtsQuest Members and Fri., March 29, 10 a.m., to the public at www.steelstacks.org and 610-332-3378.

Legendary singer, songwriter and musician Graham Nash performs at the Musikfest Café Oct. 6, 7:30 p.m. The list of Nash’s accomplishments in the music world stretches as long as his storied career. His first major foray into the entertainment business was a smashing success, beginning with the popular British pop-rock band the Hollies, which he founded alongside Allan Clarke. A number of the band’s singles, including “Stop Stop Stop” and “On a Carousel,” reached the UK charts, as well as the Billboard Hot 100 list.

After leaving the Hollies, Nash joined David Crosby and Stephen Stills to form renowned folk-rock group Crosby, Stills & Nash. Their impact was iconic, yielding such classics as “Marrakesh Express,” “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes,” “Our House” and “Teach Your Children.” Their self-titled debut album went quadruple platinum and reached number six on the Billboard charts, with two Top 40 singles.

Nash launched a solo career while still performing with CSN, and released his first album, Songs for Beginners, in 1971. His most recent, This Path Tonight, was released in 2016. He has received a number of other accolades, including two inductions into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (with the Hollies and CSN) and the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame. He has also won a GRAMMY award for Best New Artist of the Year (1969) and been appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Queen Elizabeth. Tickets for his show are $50-$60.

On Oct. 25, 7:30 p.m., the David Bromberg Quintet and Bettye LaVette team up for a captivating night of blues and soul.

Bromberg has lived and breathed the blues over the course of his five-and-a-half-decade career. He has not only mastered multiple instruments, including the guitar, fiddle, violin, mandolin and Dobro, but has also pioneered an entire genre: Newgrass (a feat he accomplished while producing John Hartford’s Aereo-Plain LP). Bromberg has played with greats such as Bob Dylan, George Harrison and Jerry Garcia. His latest album, The Blues, the Whole Blues, and Nothing But the Blues, is a masterpiece of different blues styles, with influences ranging from country to gospel.

Bettye LaVette’s first single, “My Man – He’s A Loving Man,” was released in 1962 and reached number seven on the Billboard R&B charts, sparking a tour with Ben E. King, Clyde McPhatter and Otis Redding. She went on to become the featured singer in the Don Gardner and Dee Dee Ford Review, and with Ford and Gardner, released the powerful single “Let Me Down Easy,” which peaked at number 20 on the R&B singles charts.

LaVette has since created music with an assortment of GRAMMY award-winning producers, performed with the likes of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and Jon Bon Jovi, and even appeared in films and television shows including Late Night with David Letterman and Good Morning America. She has received five GRAMMY nominations and won two Blues Music Awards: Best Contemporary Female Blues Singer in 2008, and Soul Blues Female Artist of the Year in 2016. She was also inducted into The Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame in 2016, and received the Unsung Heroine Award from the National R&B Music Society. Tickets for the David Bromberg with Bettye LaVette show are $39-$49.
