Bethlehem, PA – March 15, 2019 –<\/strong> PBS39 will air History Diggers<\/em>, which documents the adventures and archaeological finds of a group of amateur historians, at 1 p.m. on Saturday March 23 on PBS39.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Lehigh Valley is an ideal location for this project,\u201d Tim Fallon, Chief Executive Officer of PBS39 said. \u201cWe think our viewers will be intrigued by items the History Diggers<\/em> team discovers.\u201d<\/p>\n In the pilot episode, the History Diggers<\/em> team recovers artifacts from historic breweries and pharmacies. They even uncover an object with ties to a legendary Hollywood film!<\/p>\n \u201cWe are excited to test out this new concept,\u201d Yoni Greenbaum, Chief Content Officer of PBS39 said. \u201cWe think History Diggers<\/em> will appeal to the PBS39 audience.\u201d<\/p>\n The show will feature a cast of characters led by host and \u201cChief Digger\u201d Damian Righi, a renowned audio recording engineer and accomplished musician. Righi is also a high school and college instructor and Army veteran.<\/p>\n PBS39 Senior Videographer and Editor Jeff Frederick has spearheaded this project since its inception. Frederick has more than two decades of television experience in newsrooms across the state of Pennsylvania. He has worked on variety of specials at PBS39 including the Emmy-award winning documentaries Close to Home<\/em> and Second to None<\/em>. His work has also been featured on a variety of PBS39 programs including Counter Culture<\/em>, Let\u2019s Go!<\/em> and PB39 News Tonight<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cThis project was the perfect opportunity to combine my passions for history and adventure,\u201d Frederick said. \u201cIt is important to preserve and pass on knowledge from the past.\u201d<\/p>\n This pilot will premiere after Antiques Roadshow<\/em> on Saturday, March 23.
