ProJeCt of Easton will receive the free-will offerings collected at <\/span>\u201cTangos in Easton,\u201d a special concert featuring flutist Nora Suggs and guitarist John Arnold. These talented musicians will play long-time instrumental favorites in the beautiful sanctuary at College Hill Presbyterian, located at 501 Brodhead St. in Easton. The concert starts at 1 p.m. and is free to the public, though a free-will offering is welcomed.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Anna Davis Day recognizes the generosity of the long-time parishioner who, before her passing in 1986, established a trust that would, among other things, support the maintenance of the organ and music program at College Hill as well as the recital that bears her name. Anna Davis Day begins with <\/span>Morning Worship at 10:30 a.m. and features five anthems presented by the Sanctuary and Chamber choirs, with special keyboard music presented by Bryan Holten.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n After Morning Worship, <\/span>the CHPC Fellowship Committee will host a luncheon at 11:45 a.m. in Fellowship Hall (with a $10 suggested donation) which will then lead into the concert.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The Reverend Dr. Merideth S. ARNOLD, guitarist, teaches guitar at Moravian College and Lebanon Valley College, and has previously taught at the Charter High School for the Arts in Bethlehem and Vermont\u2019s Bennington College. In addition to numerous solo performances, he is an active chamber musician, performing with the Pennsylvania Sinfonia and Allentown Symphony Orchestras, SATORI, the Gabriel Chamber Ensemble, and the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival. Mr. Arnold holds an Artist Diploma degree from the Hartt School, University of Hartford, where he studied with Richard Provost; and Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Guitar Performance and Guitar Pedagogy from Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University, where his major teacher was Glenn Caluda. Mr. Arnold has published arrangements for guitar with Clear Note Publications and Guitar Chamber Music Press.<\/p>\n DR. NORA SUGGS, flutist, is a graduate of Houston\u2019s Rice University and Baylor College of Medicine, with extensive private education in music and degrees in biology, English literature, medicine, and surgery. She has played in England, Canada, Italy, Japan, Alaska, and throughout the continental United States; and is now active as a teacher, recitalist and chamber musician in Pennsylvania\u2019s Lehigh Valley. Dr. Suggs is the flutist and Artistic Director of the chamber music ensemble SATORI, and for over 18 years has performed and recorded in duos with classical guitar. She has taught on the music faculty at Bethlehem\u2019s Moravian College and at the Community Music School of the Lehigh Valley.
