The community is invited to this free event celebrating the beloved Sesame Street character. <\/strong><\/div>\n

 
\nBethlehem, PA – January 17, 2019 –<\/strong> PBS39 will hold a public birthday celebration in honor of the beloved Sesame Street character, Elmo. This free event<\/a>, sponsored by PPL Foundation<\/a>, will take place from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 3 at the PPL Public Media Center in Bethlehem, PA.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are excited to open our doors to the community,\u201d Tim Fallon, Chief Executive Officer of PBS39 said. \u201cOur address is Sesame Street, so it is only fitting that we would celebrate an iconic character like Elmo at our studios. We are grateful for the generous support from PPL Foundation for making this event possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

This event is free and open to the public. Attendees are asked to bring one new book as a donation to the Lehigh Valley Children\u2019s Centers<\/a> (LVCC) in support of PPL Foundation<\/a>\u2019s collaborative partnership with the Casa Guadalupe Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe PPL Foundation believes that education is vital for vibrant communities,\u201d Lissette Santana, Senior Manager of Corporate Relations for PPL said. \u201cHelping to increase child literacy is one key factor in improving education for all students. That\u2019s why we partnered with the United Way to develop Cover to Cover, a children\u2019s literacy program. Our hope is that together, we can turn the page on childhood literacy.\u201d<\/p>\n
