Leaders of the Lehigh Valley\u2019s human service nonprofits are eligible to apply for a fellowship to the prestigious Harvard Business School\u2019s<\/strong> Strategic Perspectives in Non-Profit Management<\/strong><\/em> program from July 15 to 21, 2018<\/span>. This program, valued at $6,250, is possible thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor and United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley. The application deadline is Friday, March 23, 2018<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n Eligibility Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n The fellowship funds tuition, books, case materials, accommodations and meals. The fellow will learn and benefit from the workshop on behalf of his or her organization and will share their new knowledge with nonprofit executives in the Lehigh Valley.\u00a0 Past attendees used their experience at Harvard to make significant improvements to their organizations.\u00a0 Lin Erickson, the 2014 Harvard Fellowship recipient and Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Da Vinci Science Center said, \u201cThe most interesting aspect of the program is the people you meet. People attend from around the world bringing a diverse international perspective to the program.\u00a0 We compare notes with large and small nonprofits about the challenges and opportunities they face and learn from their experiences.\u201d<\/p>\n As a result of the fellowship, we are building a network of alumni who are invited to meet occasionally to share information and successes.\u00a0 In January 2017, the Harvard Fellowship recipient group met for an informal lunch and discussion.\u00a0 United Way will continue to form a network to support nonprofit executives in the Lehigh Valley.<\/p>\n For program description, application and HBS website<\/a> link, visit www.unitedwayglv.org<\/a>.
