{"id":150679,"date":"2026-08-18T20:30:04","date_gmt":"2026-08-19T00:30:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thevalleyledger.com\/?p=150679"},"modified":"2026-08-18T20:30:04","modified_gmt":"2026-08-19T00:30:04","slug":"wreaths-across-america-mobile-education-exhibit-to-visit-miller-keystone-blood-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thevalleyledger.com\/?p=150679","title":{"rendered":"WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA MOBILE EDUCATION EXHIBIT TO VISIT MILLER-KEYSTONE BLOOD CENTER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Photo by WAA Staff<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Exhibit will honor veterans, engage the community and support blood donation at MKBC\u2019s Bethlehem location on Tuesday, September 1<\/em><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>LEHIGH VALLEY, PA \u2013 Wreaths Across America (WAA), the national nonprofit best known for placing more than three million veterans\u2019 wreaths at over 5,000 locations across the United States and abroad on National Wreaths Across America Day, will bring its Mobile Education Exhibit (MEE) to Miller-Keystone Blood Center\u2019s Bethlehem location on Tuesday, September 1.<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The visit is part of WAA\u2019s year-round mission to remember the fallen, honor those who serve and their families, and teach the next generation the value of freedom.<\/em><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>What:\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Wreaths Across America Mobile Education Exhibit<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Where:\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 Miller-Keystone Blood Center,<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a01465 Valley Center Parkway, Bethlehem, PA\u00a0 18017<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>When:\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 Tuesday, September 1\u00a0 |\u00a0 12:00 PM \u2013 6:00 PM<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe Wreaths Across America Mobile Education Exhibit provides a unique opportunity for communities to come together and share the stories of those who served and sacrificed,\u201d said Karen Worcester, executive director of Wreaths Across America. \u201cThrough our partnership with the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration, the exhibit also serves as an official \u2018Welcome Home\u2019 location for our nation\u2019s Vietnam veterans.\u201d<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The MEE brings veterans, active-duty military personnel, their families and members of the local community together through interactive exhibits, short films and shared stories. The mobile museum educates visitors about the service and sacrifice of America\u2019s military heroes while also serving as an official welcome-home station for Vietnam veterans.<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Veterans, active-duty service members, military families and community members are invited to tour the exhibit and speak with WAA representatives and volunteers. Visitors can learn more about the national nonprofit and the year-round work its volunteers perform in support of veterans, military families and their communities.<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Members of the media, dignitaries, veterans\u2019 organizations and other interested groups are also encouraged to attend, ask questions, share stories and experience the one-of-a-kind exhibit.<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Individuals may sponsor a veteran\u2019s wreath at any time in support of the local WAA program. Each sponsorship funds a live balsam wreath that will be placed on the headstone of an American hero as part of National Wreaths Across America Day on Saturday, December 19, 2026. Additional information is available at WreathsAcrossAmerica.org.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>While visiting the Mobile Education Exhibit, community members may also donate blood at Miller-Keystone Blood Center\u2019s Bethlehem donor center. Appointments can be scheduled at GIVEaPINT.org, by calling 800-B-A-DONOR (800-223-6667), ext. 2, by scanning the event QR code or through the MKBC mobile app, available for Android and Apple devices.
