“Summer time and the wind is blowing outside WHAT A NIGHT!!! There are no words, and not enough words to describe tonight’s show at Musikfest in Bethlehem, Pa.<\/p>\n I want to say thank you to Tehani, and Bryn at ArtsQuest,\u00a0 and Anne Kimock and Shirley White who were so helpful. I cannot say thank you enough. It was a beautiful night. Mother Nature brought the rain for the ambiance. Although lead singer Stephan Jenkins said this Musikfest concert might be the best show of the summer for them.<\/p>\n It was an absolute blast. I say with an incredible group of people. Normally,\u00a0 I would have a friend with me, but it was great. I also ran into my amazing friend MaryLou who is a Musikfest volunteer,\u00a0 and an amazing soul. If you see her at Musikfest say hello.<\/p>\n The band St. Lucia opened for Third Eye Blind, and they had everyone hyped. The security and volunteers were clapping and singing along.\u00a0 St. Lucia was founded by<\/p>\n Jean-Philip Grobler and includes his wife, Patti Beranek.<\/p>\n The crowd was ready for Third Eye Blind, however as soon as they stepped onstage, Mother Nature felt every bit of the music and unleashed all the rain. It was as if she knew it would be an emotional night but also a blast of an evening.<\/p>\n Third Eye Blind’s Stephan Jenkins said they did not currently have a new album to promote but they were so excited, and they were “here for the vibes.” When you attend a concert in the rain, it is one of the most beautiful moments. It is a cleansing feeling. I helped a couple take some photos and then they offered me an extra poncho so thank you for that. Also, a kind lady behind me helped me with the poncho. You know the produce bags at supermarkets that do not want to open, well that was this poncho. I was grateful for the poncho.<\/p>\n I went to see if they had any left earlier because I heard all the rain chatter, however I n have been to so many concerts in the rain that I just love it so much.<\/p>\n Third Eye Blind performed some songs that the crowd was screaming out along with adding that Musikfest wanted to stop the show when the lightning showed up. It did not until a little later, but the crows yelled out an enthusiastic,\u00a0 “F*ck the lightning,” to which Third Eye Blind continued playing.<\/p>\n They performed quite an eclectic bunch of songs including: “Motorcycle Drive By,” “Jumper,” “Dust Storm,” and they did an encode after one of the loudest and most enthusiastic,\u00a0 “ONE MORE SONG” chant by a crowd who stuck around and did not want to leave. This made Third Eye Blind so happy, and it made all of us happy.<\/p>\n They ended with, “How’s It Going To Be.” THIS WAS ONE OF THE GRRATEST CONCERTS I HAVE BEEN TO AND I HAVE BEEN TO SO MANY. The crowd was alive, vibrant, and just so ecstatic,\u00a0 and filled with love. People embraced each other, they sang, they screamed.
