The reception takes place during JuxTuesday, JuxtaHub’s free monthly celebration of art, live demos, and community. A closing reception will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Proposed and curated by JuxtaHub’s Gallery Committee, The Color of Stories features bold, colorful, narrative-driven contemporary artwork that invites viewers into a world of imagination, memories, emotion, humor, and wonder. The timing is especially meaningful to JuxtaHub, as the exhibition coincides with the organization’s summer camp. Students and guests of all ages are invited to interact with the work through prompts placed throughout the gallery that spark conversation about each piece. Visitors can also contribute to a designated Color Story Wall, adding their own story or drawing to a colorful card to share with the community.

“As an artist and former gallery owner, this exhibit fills me with much joy,” said Nina Boodhansingh, Programming Manager at JuxtaHub. “It’s apparent that each piece of art tells a story, recalls memories, or encourages the viewer to create their own narrative. I smile every time I walk through the gallery. I look forward to seeing our campers explore the wonder of the exhibit and create their very own color story.”

The exhibition features work by Alexandra Schnabel, Anthony Smith*, Billy Thompson*, Dayanara Romero, Deming King-Harriman*, Dylan Collazo, Evan Stutts, Genesis Rodriguez, Julia Lundy, Tijasia Lett*, and Tory Schultz*. Artists marked with an * are JuxtaHub Resident Artists.

The July 14 JuxTuesday will also feature JuxtaHub’s second Pottery Throw Down in the Ceramics Studio, where guests can watch and judge as contestants compete for the title of master potter. This round’s contestants include Lisa Caruso, winner of the last Throw Down; Ryan Olszewski; Kelsey Eck; and JuxtaHub resident artist Rhiannon Davis. Additional JuxTuesday programming includes hands-on activities and live demonstrations throughout the building.

JuxTuesday is free and open to the public, held every second Tuesday of the month from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Complimentary light refreshments are served and Yergey Brewing will be selling beer.

ATTACHED IMAGE LIST (included in zipped folder attached to email):

Genesis Rodriguez’s The Burden A Woman Holds

Dylan Collazo’s The Most Treasured Time

IMG_6646: Lisa Caruso competing in the April JuxTuesday Pottery Throw Down

About JuxtaHub

Founded in 2019, JuxtaHub connects creators, artists, and makers from diverse mediums, fostering opportunities for education, collaboration, and innovation across the Lehigh Valley; we are where arts and technology intersect.
