Lehighton, Pa.\u00a0<\/strong>\u2014 Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (DLNHC) will host the second annual Carbon County D&L TrailFest on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lehighton Outdoor Center. Building on the success of its inaugural year, TrailFest returns with an expanded lineup of outdoor recreation, local vendors, live entertainment, and family-friendly programming \u2013 all free and open to the public.<\/p>\n

Designed to celebrate the D&L Trail and the vibrant communities it connects, TrailFest brings together residents, visitors, businesses, and outdoor enthusiasts for a day of exploration and connection. This free event highlights the unique character of Carbon County and the greater Anthracite Region while encouraging both longtime trail users and newcomers to discover everything the Corridor has to offer.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrailFest is a celebration of the D&L Trail and the Pocono mountain communities that bring it to life,\u201d said DLNHC Executive Director Tony Pierucci. \u201cIt\u2019s an opportunity to come together, showcase local pride, and highlight the people, places, and experiences that make this region and the D&L Trail so special.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s festival will feature a lively Beer and Wine Garden with local favorites Bright Path Brewing and Big Creek Vineyard, live music from Matt Filer and DJ Monroe Berger and food trucks. Families can also enjoy children\u2019s activities, guided trail experiences, and a photography walk along the D&L Trail. New for 2026, the D&L TrailFest Virtual 5K invites participants to run, walk, or roll a 5K anywhere between June 14 and June 21 while supporting trail maintenance, educational programs, and community initiatives throughout the region. The festival will also showcase a diverse mix of local businesses, craft vendors, nonprofits, and trail-friendly organizations.<\/p>\n

\u201cCommunities all along the D&L Trail, small and large, are breathing new life into our old towns by attracting visitors and supporting local businesses.\u201d said Senator Dave Argall. \u201cI will continue to work closely with our local partners to connect this trail to Weatherly, Hazleton, the Panther Valley, Pottsville, and beyond\u2014so we can extend the positive impacts of trails to even more towns across our region.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Carbon County D&L TrailFest is free and open to the public. Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend and take part in this celebration of outdoor recreation, local culture, and the natural beauty of the region.<\/p>\n
