The two-day event has attracted approximately 50 teams from across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, bringing some of the region’s top youth flag football talent to the Lehigh Valley and showcasing one of America’s fastest-growing sports.

MASBH, which supports underserved youth and families by investing in community outreach, educational, and athletic programs will anchor the two-day tournament at Zephyr Stadium featuring top coed flag football teams ages 7U through high school competing for championship rings and bids to the Flag Football Life National. Families will enjoy food trucks, a vendor village, entertainment, and activities throughout Father’s Day weekend.

“This event is special because it brings elite youth competition to the same community where Saquon grew up,” said Tonya “Mama B” Johnson, Co-Founder and Vice President of the Michael Ann & Saquon Barkley Hope Foundation. “We want young athletes to have an opportunity to compete at a high level, create memories with their families, and see firsthand what can happen when talent, hard work, and community support come together.”

For Barkley, the Alpha Invitational is a homecoming. Whitehall is where Barkley developed as both an athlete and as a person grounded in family and hard work, before becoming one of the NFL’s most recognizable stars. After a standout career at Whitehall High School, All-American honors at Penn State, and success in the NFL, Barkley is bringing elite competition and opportunity back to the community that helped launch his journey.

The Alpha Invitational also arrives at a pivotal moment for the sport. Flag football continues to experience explosive growth nationwide, particularly among girls and young athletes. The sport’s inclusion in the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles has further accelerated participation and visibility, creating new pathways for athletes to compete at the highest levels.

The event is expected to draw athletes, coaches, and families from multiple states, providing a unique opportunity to highlight the rapid growth of youth flag football and the next generation of talent.

“One of the goals of the Alpha Invitational is to help shine a light on the next generation of athletes,” said Rachael J. Pritzker, Board Member of the MASB Hope Foundation. “This event creates opportunities for young players to compete, gain exposure, and be recognized for the hard work they put into their sport while supporting a mission that serves youth and families year-round.”

The Alpha Invitational offers a Father’s Day weekend experience for the entire family. Beyond the competition, attendees can enjoy a festival atmosphere featuring food trucks, local vendors, face painting, braiding services, barber experiences, cotton candy stations, and interactive activities including 360 Hoops. Families can spend the weekend cheering on athletes, exploring the event grounds, and celebrating Father’s Day together while supporting youth sports and community impact.

Event Details

Saquon Barkley Alpha Invitational
June 20–21, 2026 | 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Whitehall High School, 3800 Mechanicsville Rd, Whitehall, Pennsylvania 18052

Tickets:

tixr.com/groups/weareevents/events/the-saquon-barkley-alpha-invitational-182983

Event Information:

masbhopefoundation.com/upcoming-events

Team Registration:
zortssports.com/post/clubHouse?tid=25313

Media Credential Requests:
Contact Tiffany Sondergaard |(610) 349-3671 | tiffany@tsbrandelevation.com

About the Michael Ann & Saquon Barkley Hope Foundation

Founded in 2020 and named in honor of Saquon Barkley’s late grandmother, Michael Ann Barkley, the Michael Ann & Saquon Barkley Hope Foundation supports underserved youth and families through educational and athletic programs, scholarships, community outreach initiatives, and resources that help young people achieve success both on and off the field.
