TREXLERTOWN, Pa. \u2014 The world’s top endurance and sprint riders delivered a thrilling evening of international racing Thursday at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center as the UCI Fastest Man & Woman on Wheels got underway in front of an enthusiastic crowd at the historic velodrome.<\/p>\n
The night featured a full slate of UCI-sanctioned racing, including elimination races, points races, and keirin competition, showcasing elite talent from around the globe.<\/p>\n
In the Women’s Elimination Race, Stephanie Lawrence of Star Track claimed second place behind Reagen Pattishall of Turbo Velo Pickle Juice, while Colleen Gulick of Team Skyline rounded out the podium. Star Track riders Mia Deye and Dannielle Watkinson completed the top five.<\/p>\n
The Men’s Elimination Race was won by Magnus Jamieson of Cycling Southland\/Bike Works. Akil Campbell of PSL Cycling Club finished second, with Chris Ernst of Team Canada taking third. Star Track’s Enzo Edmonds placed fourth while Nicholas Reinert of Freddie Fu Cycling Team rounded out the top five.<\/p>\n
The Women’s Points Race produced one of the most dominant performances of the evening as Dannielle Watkinson of Star Track amassed 45 points to secure victory. Fellow Star Track rider Stephanie Lawrence finished second with 30 points, while Reagen Pattishall of Turbo Velo Pickle Juice claimed third. Jenna Nestman of Tesseract Racing and McKenzie Milne of CCACHE completed the top five.<\/p>\n
The Men’s Points Race delivered a dramatic finish with Enzo Edmonds of Star Track capturing the win with 28 points. Chris Ernst of Team Canada finished just one point back in second with 27 points. James Ambrose-Parish of OneLifeCycle took third, followed by Kyle Perry of First Internet Bank Cycling and John Borstelmann of TeamBSR Mustangs.<\/p>\n
Sprint racing took center stage later in the evening with the Keirin finals.<\/p>\n
In the Women’s Keirin Final, Makaira Wallace of JLD Cycling Academy powered to victory, recording a 200-meter time of 12.899 seconds. Mandy Marquardt of Edge Cycling finished second, followed by Nicole Hacohen Monteros of PACE in third.<\/p>\n
The Men’s Keirin Final featured blistering speed as James Hedgcock of Canada sprinted to victory with a 200-meter time of 10.603 seconds, reaching nearly 68 km\/h. Taeho Choi of Gyeongsangbuk-do Sports Council finished second, while William Munday of Star Track earned third place. Nicholas Roberts of Edge Cycling and Michael Girolametto-Prosen of Factors\/Lametto Rose completed the top five.<\/p>\n
The action continues Friday night with the marquee UCI Sprint Tournament, where some of the fastest riders in the world will battle head-to-head in one of track cycling’s most explosive disciplines. Fans can expect world-class speed, tactical racing, and international competition as elite sprinters chase UCI points and Fastest Man & Woman on Wheels titles at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center.<\/p>\n
