May 26, 2026 \u2014 Allentown City Council today announced the launch of its 2026 Civic Fund Grant Program, a new initiative to support nonprofit organizations serving Allentown residents and strengthening neighborhoods across the city through small grant awards.<\/p>\n
Beginning today, eligible nonprofit organizations may apply for grants of up to $2,000 through an online application available at\u00a0Allentown City Council Civic Fund Application Portal<\/a>.<\/p>\n The application window will remain open through Friday, June 26, 2026. Following the application period, City Council will review submissions throughout the summer, with funding announcements and distributions anticipated to begin in early fall.<\/p>\n The program is intended to help support community-based initiatives, neighborhood programs, youth engagement efforts, educational activities, cultural programming, and other services that positively impact residents of Allentown.<\/p>\n The Civic Fund Program is supported through an existing annual City Council budget allocation totaling $24,000. This initiative establishes a more transparent, accessible, and equitable process for distributing limited civic funding to qualifying nonprofit organizations.<\/p>\n To be eligible, organizations must be a registered nonprofit based in Allentown and\/or demonstrate a direct impact on Allentownians. For-profit entities are not eligible to receive funding.<\/p>\n \u201cNonprofit organizations play an important role in supporting our neighborhoods, families, youth, and community programs throughout Allentown,\u201d said Council President Santo Napoli. \u201cI wanted to create a transparent and accessible process that helps support organizations making a meaningful difference locally. We encourage eligible nonprofits to apply and share how they are serving our residents. Thank you to the City Clerk\u2019s Office and the IT Department for their efforts in helping launch this program.\u201d<\/p>\n Organizations selected for funding will be required to enter into a Civic Fund Agreement outlining reporting requirements and documentation procedures to ensure accountability.
