Allentown –\u00a0<\/strong>The\u00a0Lehigh\u00a0County’s\u00a0Public\u00a0Defenders\u00a0office will hold its\u00a0ninth annual\u00a0Community Outreach Day on Saturday, May 30.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0free\u00a0event\u00a0will provide\u00a0services\u00a0for\u00a0residents including,\u00a0but\u00a0not\u00a0limited\u00a0to, free\u00a0clothing,\u00a0free\u00a0food\u00a0to\u00a0take\u00a0home,\u00a0and\u00a0information\u00a0and\u00a0resources on\u00a0sealing criminal records,\u00a0expungements, and\u00a0pardons provided\u00a0by\u00a0the Pardon Project\u00a0of Pa.<\/p>\n

The event\u00a0will\u00a0be held\u00a09 a.m. to noon at 617 W. Walnut St. in Allentown.\u00a0Organizations from\u00a0throughout the\u00a0Lehigh Valley will\u00a0be\u00a0present\u00a0to provide resources\u00a0regarding\u00a0employment,\u00a0education,\u00a0health\u00a0services\u00a0and\u00a0more.<\/p>\n

Created\u00a0by\u00a0Chief Public\u00a0Defender Kimberly Makoul, Esq.,\u00a0the purpose of Community Outreach Day is\u00a0to\u00a0implement a holistic\u00a0defense\u00a0model\u00a0for\u00a0Lehigh County’s client representation\u00a0and to build a stronger presence in the community.<\/p>\n

More than 1,000\u00a0Lehigh\u00a0County\u00a0residents have\u00a0benefited from\u00a0the event\u00a0since\u00a0it began in 2021.<\/p>\n
