Jarrett Coleman (R-16)<\/a>\u00a0announced today seven Lehigh County community projects will benefit from more than $244,000 in state grant funding from the Local Share Account \u2013 Northampton and Lehigh Program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFunding our first responders and local priorities will benefit our communities for years to come,\u201d Coleman said. \u201cI am proud to have supported these efforts and help our municipalities get the support they needed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The following projects have been approved:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Coopersburg Borough<\/strong>\u00a0was awarded $19,882 to purchase and upfit a new police cruiser for its police department.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Heidelberg Township<\/strong>\u00a0was awarded $43,000 to purchase and install a new digital municipal sign to instantly share township messages, meeting dates, alerts and events.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lower Milford Township<\/strong>, on behalf of Limeport Stadium, Inc., was awarded $25,224 to provide the stadium with a new customized baseball safety system net.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Slatington Borough<\/strong>\u00a0was awarded $36,241 to purchase and upfit a new patrol vehicle. The borough, on behalf of the Slatington Public Library, was also awarded $17,422 to make critical roof renovations to the historic library.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Upper Macungie Township<\/strong>\u00a0was awarded $90,140 for professional services to develop a master site plan for the Lone Lane Park.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Upper Milford Township<\/strong>, on behalf of the Citizens Fire Company, was awarded $12,720 to purchase and install nozzles and connections on the fire company\u2019s new fire truck.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dced.pa.gov\/programs\/local-share-account-lsa-northampton-and-lehigh-counties\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/dced.pa.gov\/programs\/local-share-account-lsa-northampton-and-lehigh-counties\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1779376170964000&amp;usg=AOvVaw108OBkgG1cvgpWYKRXthN7\">Local Share Account \u2013 Northampton and Lehigh Program<\/a>\u00a0funds are administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority and used for economic development, community development and public interest projects.<\/p>\n<p>Information provided to TVL by:<br \/>\nSenate Republican Communications<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HARRISBURG \u2013\u00a0Sen.
