[Northampton County, PA]\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Northampton County Executive Tara Zrinski was sworn in today and outlined a governing vision centered on healing, transparency, fiscal responsibility, and collaboration across county government.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will rise not toward power, but toward purpose,\u201d Zrinski said. \u201cNot for perfection, but for participation. We will rise together as a county government determined to build, to heal, and to leave this place stronger than we found it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zrinski described the County Executive\u2019s office as a bridge between residents and decision-makers, emphasizing listening, accountability, and measurable progress.<\/p>\n

\u201cI see this office not as a seat of authority, but as a bridge between people and power,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The County Executive identified three immediate priorities for her administration: responsible stewardship of county finances, supporting an increasingly strained county workforce and service providers, and restoring public trust in government.<\/p>\n

To advance those goals, Zrinski announced an inaugural Executive Summit at Northampton Community College, bringing together community leaders and residents to develop a public 100-day roadmap focused on efficiency, transparency, and early improvements in county operations.<\/p>\n

That work will inform a broader action plan connecting county values: equity, sustainability, and fiscal responsibility, to policy initiatives in housing, human services, economic development, public safety, and environmental protection.<\/p>\n

Zrinski emphasized healing as a governing principle, pledging that her administration will focus on partnership rather than division. \u201cThis office will not be used to punish or divide,\u201d she said. \u201cIt will be a place that listens, that repairs, and that rebuilds faith in the work we do together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zrinski also called for a constructive partnership with Northampton County Council and thanked county employees for their continued service.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Her swearing-in marks a historic milestone as the first woman elected County Executive in Northampton County.<\/p>\n
