Known for his explosive power and charisma, Dawkins became a T-Town favorite, inspiring juniors and entertaining fans while cementing his status among the world\u2019s elite sprinters.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Liz Reap Carlson<\/strong>, who defied the odds by entering the sport in her 30s, earned eight Elite National Championships, Pan American medals, and three UCI Masters World titles. At T-Town, she became a cornerstone of community development, coaching juniors, leading programs, and mentoring future stars.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Both athletes were honored for their global achievements and lasting impact on the Trexlertown community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Madison Cup Racing Results<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Men\u2019s Madison Cup Omnium<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The highlight of the evening came in the Men\u2019s Madison Final, where\u00a0<strong>Marcos Mendez (Argentina)<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Otis Engel (Kutztown, PA)<\/strong>\u00a0powered to victory in the 100-lap finale, clinching the Madison Cup Omnium title with\u00a0<strong>42 points<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Gold \u2013 MENDEZ\/ENGEL<\/strong>: Marcos Mendez (ARG) \/ Otis Engel (USA) \u2013 42 pts<\/li>\n<li><strong>Silver \u2013 BEEBE\/PERRY<\/strong>: Aaron Beebe (USA) \/ Kyle Perry (USA) \u2013 29 pts<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bronze \u2013 JAMIESON\/RAMSEY<\/strong>: Magnus Jamieson (New Zealand) \/ Liam Ramsey (New Zealand) \u2013 26 pts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Earlier in the night, Jamieson and Ramsey had thrilled the crowd with a win in the\u00a0<strong>Men\u2019s Madison Scratch Final<\/strong>, before ultimately settling for third in the overall.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women\u2019s Madison Cup Omnium<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s field delivered just as much excitement, with\u00a0<strong>Bryony Botha (New Zealand)<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Odette Lynch (Australia)<\/strong>\u00a0taking a commanding win in the Madison Cup Omnium, scoring\u00a0<strong>30 points<\/strong>\u00a0in the 50-lap Madison Final.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Gold \u2013 LYNCH\/BOTHA<\/strong>: Bryony Botha (NZL) \/ Odette Lynch (AUS) \u2013 30 pts<\/li>\n<li><strong>Silver \u2013 GULICK\/RUTECKI<\/strong>: Colleen Gulick (USA) \/ Julianna Rutecki (USA) \u2013 17 pts<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bronze \u2013 VAN NIEKERK\/STERN<\/strong>: Danielle Van Niekerk (South Africa) \/ Morgan Stern (USA) \u2013 10 pts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Botha and Lynch had also opened the night with a victory in the\u00a0<strong>Women\u2019s Madison Scratch Race<\/strong>, setting the tone for their dominant performance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supporting Races and Rising Stars<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Women\u2019s Chariot Final<\/strong>: Annika Flanigan (USA) of EDGE Cycling stormed to victory ahead of Colleen Gulick (USA) and Bryony Botha (NZL).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Men\u2019s Chariot Final<\/strong>: Nicholas Roberts (USA) claimed the win, with Liam Trepte (Trinidad &amp; Tobago) and Kai Afan (USA) rounding out the podium.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These crowd-pleasing races showcased the depth of talent across international and local riders.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Community Celebration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Alongside the racing, the night celebrated VPCC\u2019s commitment to the community, recognizing youth program standouts and presenting the Young Rider of the Year, sponsored by Blink Optical.
