This event marks the start of the VPCC\u2019s 2025 Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) series, bringing Olympic hopefuls and elite athletes to the Lehigh Valley for world-ranking points, national pride, and thrilling head-to-head action under the lights.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal wp-block-paragraph\">This summer\u2019s three-part UCI race series includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Festival of Speed<\/strong> \u2013 <em>Friday, June 13 at 7:00 PM<br><\/em>Featuring the Keirin and Elimination Race &#8211; The <strong>Keirin<\/strong> is a high-speed, tactical sprint race where riders follow a pacing motorcycle before launching into an all-out battle for the finish over the final laps. The <strong>Elimination Race<\/strong>\u2014also known as &#8220;Devil Take the Hindmost&#8221;\u2014drops the last rider across the line every two laps until only one remains.<br><a href=\"https:\/\/thevelodrome.com\/uci-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Schedule \u2192 thevelodrome.com\/uci-1<br><br><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mike Walter Madison<\/strong> \u2013 <em>Friday, June 20 at 7:00 PM<br><\/em>Featuring the Mike Walter Madison, Becky Quinn Points Race, and Keirin &#8211; Mike Walter was a junior elite rider when in 1978 he was struck while riding by a drunk driver paralyzing him.
