Bethlehem, PA, February 26, 2024 \u2013\u00a0ArtsQuest<\/a>\u00a0is excited to announce the next Musikfest 2024 headliner, Jowell & Randy, with special guest Luis Figueroa, performing on the Wind Creek Steel Stage at PNC Plaza on Sunday, August 4. This Musikfest headliner is presented with media partner La Mega.<\/p>\n

Ticket access begins Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. for ArtsQuest Members and Friday, Feb. 29 at 10 a.m. for the general public at\u00a0Musikfest.org.<\/a>\u00a0Ticket prices run from $25 to $59. Steel Terrace tickets are available and include dinner, drinks and dessert at private tables under a covered tent. Jowell & Randy are a beloved, charting and well-traveled reggaeton duo from Puerto Rico whose danceable mixes are almost as popular as their canny and often hilarious rhymes. Jowell and Randy formed in the early-2000s and since the beginning of the 21st century, they’ve \u00a0chart commodity. Their 2010 album,\u00a0El Momento<\/em>, landed at number two on the Top Latin Albums chart while 2013’s\u00a0Sobredoxis<\/em>\u00a0placed at number 10. They were the first reggaeton act to perform in Australia and Monaco. Jowell & Randy’s most commercially successful single is 2010s “Loco\u201d, which appeared on five Latin charts. Their most popular music video is the 2013 remix version of “Hey Mister\u201d, which garnered nearly 100 million views. They issued “Dile la Verdad” (featuring Manuel Turizo) in early 2019, followed by their sixth full-length effort,\u00a0Viva el Perreo<\/em>, in 2020.<\/p>\n

Luis Figueroa\u00a0is\u00a0the\u00a0multi-talented\u00a0four-time\u00a0GRAMMY\u00ae\u00a0<\/sup>nominated\u00a0Puerto Rican\u00a0singer-songwriter and\u00a0one of the most promising artists of this decade.\u00a0He has solidified his status as the\u00a0leading\u00a0voice\u00a0and\u00a0rising\u00a0star\u00a0of Salsa\u00a0reinvigorating\u00a0the tropical music genre\u00a0for a new generation of audiences.<\/p>\n

Luis\u2019s latest GRAMMY\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0nominated album,\u00a0Voy A Ti,\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>is\u00a0unique and innovative with a fresh sound\u00a0that will leave a lasting mark in the history of tropical music. The album evolves the sound of salsa with urban components, modernizing this beloved genre. His first single,\u00a0\u201cLa Luz\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>became his sixth consecutive top 10\u00a0hit\u00a0on the Billboard Tropical Airplay\u00a0chart.\u00a0His song, \u201cBandido\u201d\u00a0crowned the\u00a0chart\u00a0for two consecutive weeks,\u00a0the\u00a0only\u00a0salsa song\u00a0in 2023 to top the Billboard charts.<\/p>\n

The album was nominated for\u00a0Best Salsa Album\u00a0at the\u00a024th<\/sup>\u00a0LatinGRAMMY\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0Awards,\u00a0Best Tropical Latin Album\u00a0at the 66th<\/sup>\u00a0GRAMMY\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0Awards and\u00a0received\u00a0three nominations for\u00a0Premio Lo\u00a0Nuestro\u00a0(2024)\u00a0including\u00a0Tropical Album\u00a0of the Year.<\/em>\u00a0Luis was\u00a0honored\u00a0by the\u00a0New York International Salsa Congress\u00a0with their Lifetime Achievement Award\u00a0for his contributions to the genre and\u00a0for\u00a0inspiring a new generation\u00a0of aspiring artists.<\/p>\n

About Musikfest<\/strong><\/p>\n

A record-breaking 1,330,000 people attended Musikfest in 2023. The 11-day festival featured over 500 free performances, across 16 stages located throughout the City of Bethlehem. The 41st<\/sup>\u00a0Musikfest is scheduled for Aug. 2 \u2013 11, 2024, with a special preview night on Aug. 1.
