Also, local groups send out unsolicited voter registration and mail-in ballot applications, confusing some voters into applying more than once. If you are concerned about any of these issues or have any questions, please contact the Elections Office at 610-829-6260 or\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:elections@norcopa.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">elections@norcopa.gov<\/a>, for someone to assist you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When will mail-in ballots begin to be sent out?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mail-in ballots will start to be sent on Monday, October 2nd. We recommend voters return their ballot as soon as possible. Mail-in ballots can be returned:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>By mail; no postage stamp is required. If you plan to mail your ballot, we suggest putting it in the mail no later than Wednesday, November 1st.<\/li>\n<li>Directly to the Northampton County Election\u2019s Office at the Government Center: 669 Washington Street, Easton, PA 18042.<\/li>\n<li>Or at one of the secure ballot drop boxes located around the County. Drop boxes will be available starting Thursday, October 5, 2023.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What can I do to ensure my mail-in ballot is accepted?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mail-in ballots will be accepted if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ballot is enclosed in the yellow secrecy envelope and sealed.<\/li>\n<li>There are\u00a0<strong>NO<\/strong>\u00a0identifying marks or symbols on the secrecy envelope.<\/li>\n<li>The return envelope is signed and dated on the back in the appropriate\u00a0<strong>YELLOW\u00a0<\/strong>boxes.<\/li>\n<li>The ballot is returned to the Election\u2019s Office\u00a0<strong>NO LATER THAN<\/strong>\u00a08:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7th. If you come into the office, you may be asked for your ID. Unless a person is physically unable to drop off their own ballot, someone else may drop off their ballot for them and will be asked to complete and sign a \u201cCertification of Designated Agent\u201d form. The Judge of Election will spoil the ballot and ask the voter to complete a \u201cDeclaration to Surrender Ballot\u201d form before allowing them to vote on the ExpressVote XL machine.
