BETHLEHEM, Pa. \u2013\u00a0ArtsQuest<\/a>\u00a0is excited to announce Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit will perform outdoors on the SteelStacks campus\u00a0Wednesday, August 24, 2022<\/strong>. Tickets for this general admission show will go on sale beginning\u00a0Thursday, March 17\u00a0<\/strong>for\u00a0ArtsQuest Members<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Friday, March 18\u00a0<\/strong>to the\u00a0general\u00a0public at\u00a0steelstacks.org<\/a>. North Alabama native,\u00a0Jason Isbell<\/a>\u00a0was 6-years-old when his grandfather began teaching him how to play numerous instruments for the family\u2019s weekly musical gatherings. A decade later at the age of 16, Isbell played the Grand Ole Opry with his garage country cover band. In 2013, Isbell released his first album\u00a0Southeastern<\/em>. His next two albums,\u00a0Something More Than Free<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0The Nashville Sound<\/em>, won GRAMMY Awards for Best Americana Album and Best American Roots Song. Isbell’s song “Maybe It’s Time” was featured in the 2019 remake of\u00a0A Star Is Born.\u00a0<\/em>Isbell\u2019s self-reflective nuanced 2020 album,\u00a0Reunions<\/em>, was well received by critics and includes hits \u201cDreamsicle\u201d and \u201cOnly Children.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the fall of 2021 Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit released a special album,\u00a0Georgia Blue<\/em>, celebrating Georgia\u2019s role in the 2020 election. All proceeds from the album benefit three nonprofit organizations:\u00a0Black Voters Matter<\/a>,\u00a0Fair Fight<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Georgia STAND-UP<\/a>. The record features 13 cover songs originally performed by Georgia natives including R.E.M., Drivin N Cryin, James Brown, Cat Power, Precious Bryant, Otis Redding, The Black Crowes, Indigo Girls, Now It\u2019s Overhead, Gladys Knight & The Pips, The Allman Brothers Band and Vic Chesnutt.<\/p>\n

Minnesota native Alicia Bognanno\u2019s\u00a0Bully<\/a>\u00a0will open the summer evening show. Best known for hits \u201cI Remember,\u201d \u201cGuess There\u201d and \u201cWhere to Start,\u201d Bully released its third album\u00a0SUGEREGG\u00a0<\/em>in2020.\u00a0<\/em>Singer\/songwriter and guitarist Bognanno is known for her unique scream and reverberating vocals. The band released its self-titled EP in 2014, following up a year later with their first full length album\u00a0Feels Like.<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0In 2017 Bully signed with the Seattle based, grunge producing label Sub Pop to release their second album\u00a0Losing<\/em>. Bognanno currently rounds out her group with Wesley Mitchell on drums and Nick Byrd on bass.<\/p>\n
