Madeira for his Vision, Commitment and Leadership<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(Sept. 30, 2021) \u2013 America\u2019s Automotive Trust announced David L. Madeira as the 2021 Nicola Bulgari Award recipient at their inaugural Apex Dinner held in Birmingham, MI to kick off the North American International Auto Show\u2019s Motor Bella.<\/p>\n<p>The Nicola Bulgari Award \u2013 named after the world-famous Vice Chairman of BVLGARI, renowned car collector, and board member of the Trust \u2013 is personally selected by Mr. Bulgari. It is presented annually to recognize an individual\u2019s efforts to promote America\u2019s automotive heritage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDavid is an exceptional leader in the effort to secure America\u2019s automotive heritage,\u201d said Gary Gartner, Director of The NB Center for American Automotive Heritage, who presented the award on behalf of Mr. Bulgari. \u201cHis commitment to helping ensure collector vehicles are recognized for their important cultural role and have a place in our society, both now and in the future, is exactly the type of dedication this award was designed to recognize.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Madeira, who served 15-years as the CEO of LeMay \u2013 America\u2019s Car Museum, and later for America\u2019s Automotive Trust \u2013 has dedicated much of his life\u2019s work and passion to cars and motorcycles. During that time, he oversaw the initial fundraising and construction of LeMay &#8211; America\u2019s Car Museum, the largest automotive museum in the United States. Under his leadership, the Museum\u2019s success served as the anchor point for a vision that became America\u2019s Automotive Trust.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDavid\u2019s leadership has provided a unifying force to streamline resources, increase collaboration and bring together like-minded organizations working towards a similar goal to perpetuate car culture,\u201d said Tabetha Hammer, CEO &amp; President of America\u2019s Automotive Trust. \u201cThe job of ensuring a strong future of driving and the enjoyment of vehicles is never done. It cannot be accomplished by any singular group or effort \u2013 it\u2019s going to take a global community.
