The addition of vaccinations to the Northampton County-sponsored COVID-19 drive-through testing center is proving to be popular with residents.<\/div>\n

\u201cDrive-through clinics are very convenient to use, especially for anyone with a mobility problem,\u201d says Lamont McClure. \u201cVaccines have the power to save both lives and livelihoods and Northampton County is committed to making sure our residents have every opportunity to get vaccinated.\u201d<\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

The drive-through vaccination\/testing center is a collaboration between the Northampton County Department of Community and Economic Development, Emergency Management Services and Lehigh Valley Hospital-Coordinated Health Allentown Hospital (LVH-CHA). It is located at 3100 Emrick Boulevard in Bethlehem Township with hours of operation of Monday\/Wednesday\/Friday from 10:00AM \u2013 2:00PM and Tuesday\/Thursday from 3:00PM \u2013 6:00PM.<\/div>\n

Vaccinations are by appointment only and only for Northampton County residents. Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are available to residents age eighteen and older. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is a single dose. Those receiving the Moderna vaccine will require a second dose three weeks after the first shot. Vaccinations became available at the site on June 3rd<\/sup>. Nineteen people received a vaccination in the first three days they were offered.<\/div>\n

To make an appointment for a vaccine at the COVID-19 testing site use one of the following options:<\/div>\n

  1. Schedule at the LVHN website at\u00a0LVHN.org\/appointments<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  2. Schedule\u00a0on the MyLVHN patient portal, at\u00a0MyLVHN.org<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  3. Call\u00a0833-584-6283 (833-LVHN-CVD)<\/a>. The COVID-19 Vaccine Hotline is open Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    A Physician\u2019s order is not required for a COVID-19 test. The drive-through site is open to everyone, but only residents of Northampton County will have the cost of testing covered by the County if they do not have health coverage. All testing will be through HNL Lab Medicine unless insurance requires an alternate laboratory. Participants should bring a photo ID and their insurance card, if they have one, with them to the testing site.<\/div>\n
