During each day of September, which is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, PCFLV publishes a story of a local pediatric cancer child. This year, Olympus is sponsoring the entire series.
ALLENTOWN, PA, SEPTEMBER 23, 2019 – September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month. Each year, during the month of September, the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley (PCFLV) runs a feature called 30 Days/30 Stories® on their website and their social media sites. This powerful, raw campaign highlights local pediatric cancer patients in all phases of their journeys … newly diagnosed, on treatment, in survivorship, and a few stories about children who have passed away. Each story is accompanied by a photograph of the child. These beautiful images were captured by Ryan Fisher, an Olympus Professional Photographer from Easton, Pa.
For this year’s campaign, Olympus has joined forces with PCFLV and is the presenting sponsor.
“We are thrilled that Olympus has agreed to sponsor this impactful series,” said Michelle Zenie, Executive Director of PCFLV. “Sharing these stories is a way for us to remind people that children right here in the Lehigh Valley are battling cancer.”
“It is important to celebrate the strength of these children and their families faced with cancer, as we are doing with this 30 Days/30 Stories® campaign,” said Nacho Abia, President and CEO, Olympus Corporation of the Americas. “At Olympus, we know we aren’t just industry members with devices that address cancer, we are community members. Through unity with our neighbors, like Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley and the families they serve, we hope to beat this terrible disease.
