OLD FREEMANSBURG ASSOCIATION received a grant to continue restoration work on the historic Lockhouse #44 on the Lehigh Canal, Freemansburg. Volunteers (16+ years) are needed to demolish current flooring on first floor, replace floor joists, lay a new subfloor, repair plaster on first floor walls, and paint first floor walls. SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK, Allentown is gearing up for their Great Allentown Fair’s “Buck and a Can Night” on Tuesday, August 27. Ten volunteers are needed for 2 shifts (4-6:30pm and 6:30-9pm); 2 volunteers per gate for a total of 5 gates. First shift should report at Main Gate between 3:30-3:45 to check in; 2nd shift report to assigned gates.
