Spring Break Takeover Hip Hop Concert at the PPL Center

It was my first time attending the PPL Center in downtown Allentown but oddly enough it felt as if I had been there a million times. The Spring Break Takeover. It was easy finding parking and the crowd hyped and ready to see show. The staff working at the PPL Center were incredibly helpful and the PPL Center is beautiful. If you have not been to an event there yet, you must attend one. You could already feel the energy in the air. It was a cool night as the temperature dropped a bit. We sat in an amazing section and everything was easy to find and the seating is phenomenal. The DJ was already playing songs as people made their way in.
The crowd varied in ages, but every single person was either dancing or singing along. The DJ’s encouraged people and even engaged with the crowd. There were performances by Albee Al who kicked the show off with several songs. He engaged with the crowd and had everyone on their feet.
The crowd went wild when A-Boogie (A-Boogie Wit Da Hoodie) came out. They worked quickly changing the stage for each artist. The DJ’s also played songs in between each artist. The DJ’s played a mixture of Old School and new music. Everyone from DJ Khalid to the legend that is Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. One of the people from LSP Enterprises came out to thank the audience, Allentown and the PPL Center for “making history tonight” with this event.
One thing about A-Boogie, his stage presence and performance was excellent. His background was cool too. He is a talented artist. PNB Rock also took the stage and his set was good. The crowd loved him as everyone sang along. In between setting up for Fabolous, the DJ played more songs and a few dancers came out on-stage. People were dancing and just having fun. Fabolous took the stage and like all the artist on-stage before him, he thanked the crowd and Allentown. Fabolous performed some newer songs and a throwback. He was positive and kept everyone on their feet. This was a great show.
It was fun and everyone there was singing and dancing. Just letting loose and having a good time which is what music does for so many. The PPL Center was excellent and if you have not been there, check out a show. You can view everything happening at http://www.pplcenter.com/
