The Lehigh Valley Breastfeeding Coalition is a nonprofit collaboration of hospitals, governmental agencies, lactation supporters, business owners, community volunteers, and moms. We serve Lehigh, Northampton, and Carbon Counties and are open to anyone in the community interested in supporting mothers wanting to breastfeed.

Our Vision
The Lehigh Valley Breastfeeding Coalition’s vision is to create a breastfeeding friendly culture and environment among hospitals, businesses, and local leaders that will lead to sustainable change in policies focused on promoting breastfeeding support, education, and the absence of formula-based product promotion.
Mission Statement:
The Lehigh Valley Breastfeeding Coalition will support local Hospitals to embrace the Baby-Friendly Hospital status and evidence-based practice thus improving the quality of care for Lehigh Valley mothers who choose breastfeeding as their preferred feeding method for their newborn.
Target Statements:
All target statements are designed to focus on the following populations- Mothers, Families, Community, Health Care Providers, and Employers.
