From a young age, music was always a great influence in Taylor Ash’s life. Playing violin in orchestra, taking piano lessons and singing in choirs, her musical endeavors soon expanded to writing her own music. She penned her first song at the age of 13. She continues to be influenced by her classical training as a pianist and vocalist, which has greatly affected the writing of her original music.
She attended Westminster Choir College pursuing a degree in Music Theory and Composition. While at Westminster, she studied classical voice and composition, sung in world-renowned choirs and premiered many works for both piano, voice and guitar. Her thought provoking, original “folk pop” music was always her greatest passion and is influenced by both classical and the pop music of today. Her music and lyrics are inspired directly from her own life experiences, and the lives of those who surround her.
Her all-new EP, “Beautiful Words” features many talented artists such as Bathiki Kumalo, John O’Reilly, Kevin Hug, Jay Ansill and Jerry Nunley. It was produced and mastered by James Cravero and recorded at East Coast Recording Studios. The Album/EP is now available for purchase on her website.
Adding to the excitement surrounding her new release, Taylor will be performing at Ontelaunee Park in New Tripoli on April 25th at the Second Annual Farm Fest, as well as numerous other venues in and around the Lehigh Valley.
